Still life photography entails capturing subjects that are not living, contrary to my many other projects which mostly consists of models. For this side project, two setups that portray distinct themes have been arranged.
shoot 1
autumnal
best photo
In my opinion, I think that this is my best photo as the composition is just right with the main subject in the right place with the background blurred out with a low aperture. Furthermore, I believe that both the white balance and the exposure have captured the colours of the autumnal theme successfully.
worst photo
This is my worst photo of the shoot because the exposure is too high and the aperture has not been set correctly to achieve a slightly blurred background. Also, the composition is not satisfactory as the edge of the table is still in shot. Finally, I did not hold the camera correctly, resulting in a blurred photo.
shoot 2
japanese culture
best photo
This is my best photo because the composition is adequate, with the use of the rule of thirds and the foreground being blurred and the background is in focus. Also, the exposure has been set correctly.
worst photo
This is my worst photo because the angle is not very creative. I have taken it standing up looking down, resulting in a boring composition. Also, the colours are quite dull because the light was not captured very well.
